I don't know why you opted to do business "offsite". You were fully protected on PlayerUp through PlayerUp Middleman Services and it cost you $0 to be secured through PlayerUp. You opting to venture off and do a direct sale with a complete stranger online was an error on your part. If a seller tells you offsite that you can only pay them directly, always use credit/debit cards or account (know family and friends). If they aren't willing to do that or use an escrow/middleman service, it's 99% likely a scam. The payment you made to PlayerUp was voided and 100% returned to you so that is solved but in terms of getting back your money, you'll have to dispute that and you should REPORT this issue to discord and report the scammer. On PlayerUp, the user has been removed already, banned and the issue on PlayerUp is 100% solved.
